Levuka - things to do
Take a stroll along the main road of Levuka and you feel yourself moved back to an other era of time. There are many sites and buildings of historical interest.
The historical buildings are in typical British Colonial style, such as Sacred Heart Church and Navoka Methodist Church both built in the 1860s, the museum and the library, the Town Hall built 1898, St. John's College, Marist Convent School, and the Ovalau Club.
The Cession Site, where the Deed of Cession was signed, Niukaube Hill (the former location of Ratu Seru Cakobau's court and parliament house), Bishop's Tomb (where Fiji's first and second Roman Catholic bishops are entombed), are more places of historical interest.
Levuka Community Centre and Museum

Go to the Levuka Community Centre and get a Levuka brochure, it has a town map and important info. The staff at the centre can explain about tours and day trips.
In the same building  is the Levuka Museum, it  displays an interesting collection of historical artefacts.

A good start may be the Historical Walking Tour offered by the Centre daily. Take a guided tour with local historian Tabaki Metuisela and hear about the town's magnificent history.

A Peak Walk with Noa Vueti aka Nox, takes you up the mountain peak behind  Levuka. Experience fantastic views of the town and surrounding reef - a great photo opportunity from the stunning peaks above Levuka town.
Nox can be  contacted via Levuka Homestay.

Lovoni Tour with Epi The village of Lovoni lies in the center of the islands volcanic crater and is a lush and fertile valley. Hear well known tour guide, Epi Bole, recounts this history and much more on his fascinating Lovoni Village Tour.

Silana Village Tour, experience coastal village scenery, witness a typical Fijian way of life. Dont miss the Bure Kalou (temple of spiritual worship), a relict of the past and hike to the ancestral village in the mountains.

Visit Bobo's Farm for a day trip.  Bobo will show you the farm and the water slides in the rainforest and provide delicious lunch.
